Challenge
Plandisc approached us with the desire to create a film for a specific feature within their software, linked to their winter campaign. They wanted their employees to act in the film. Additionally, there could not be any dialogue in the films, as they were intended to be run as paid social media content across four countries. Challenge accepted!
Process
We met up with the fantastic team from Plandisc and discussed the project, focusing on the target group, purpose, platform, and format. After discussing the subjects above, we understood that the specific feature was “one-click planning,” which allows you to plan an entire year with just one click of a button. The aim was to raise awareness about this specific feature among current customers, while also attracting new potential leads.
The primary platform would be YouTube, so our goal was to create a storyline that could be conveyed in 30 seconds or less, to fit within the “non-skippable” category. Unlike most projects, we used Plandisc’s employees, which was only possible due to their special startup mentality, where everyone is eager to contribute their best. Since we could not use spoken dialogue in the film, we needed to find a way to show a conversation that could be translated into four different languages. This was achieved by using animated text messages between the main character and “the Boss”.
